The Count Down is Killing Me

So it has been a little over five months since I tore my hamstring. Only two weeks since I got a accurate diagnosis sadly and it still has a little tear in it so I was told to stay down another month. I am hoping with all my heart that i really only have about three more weeks before I can finally get back to my life. But the lying around doing nothing thing is starting to take it toll. Though I still am in some pain feeling a bit better makes me seriously want to just go out and do anything. So it has been pain staking and driving me insane this past week. I'm not one who gets bored easily I am pretty self amused that being said I am usually a very hyper active person. I have a couple books to read so that is something but I am starting to go a bit stir crazy. Not to mention this whole being alone all day thing has also taken it's toll. I never realized how much of a people person I am up until now. I actually even miss working being as I kind of feel a bit useless though I more just feel helpless more than anything and that drives me honestly more insane that anything else. But at least I do live somewhere beautiful and I just really hope I am out of this bed in a month. So hopefully I can hang in there. I cannot wait to get back in the water. I also hope I can make it to the last convention.

We are a single note

A single note and you can be sent to another place.
A word spoken just right can make or ruin your day.
The art that speaks through nature can make the world stand still.
Our dreams when we sleep make us really live life.
Each of is fragile and yet so strong.
A single heart break sticks with you for all your days.
We grow from every moment every breath we take.
We learn from all our experiences both good and bad.
Our personality is molded by each and every moment.
Each of us is like a single note beautiful in it's own may.
Like a beautiful piece of art on display
Make music, live life, and be beautiful in your own special way.

I got flowers from there gardens aren't they great?

One thing I love about California is the idea that someone can pick you some flowers and bring them to you when you are down and out. The one to the left are from Bonnie who is in my Kingdom hall, telling me to feel better with a handmade card. Super cute and sweet. The other set is actually from a women that Casey tinted a car for. He had reschedule due to having to take me to a specialist for my torn hamstring. So I thought it was so sweet that she brought those over to the shop he works at to give to me.

On my feet soon!! So I need to get back in shape.

So I have one more month hopefully till I'm on my feet. If not full recovery I should be very close so I of course am super excited. This month I still need to stay down and take it easy. And next month still not going to be up to full speed I'm sure but I'm trying to think of what I can do this month for a jump start back to my old body with out being able to move much. Since I was fifteen years old I've been working out everyday, I literally could count the days on my hand that I didn't work out. I've always tried to eat right so this has been pure torture for me sitting around with a torn hamstring.
I've gained five pounds I suppose it could be worse but it's really annoying to me. Not to mention I'm getting soft. So I'm trying to figure out a diet for this month that is for someone who can't work out. Being as before the accident my activity's were skateboarding, snowboarding, or surfing. I went for 4 to 5 mile walks with my hubby everyday and would do strengthening exercises with stretches for around ten to fifteen minutes every morning before work.
My diet though healthy was different from what I need to have now. So if you have any suggestion let me know. So far I've started with either having shredded wheat for breakfast or a homemade smoothie which every I am in the mood for, the smoothie is made from non-fat plain yogurt, frozen fruit, a teaspoon of honey and a quarter cup of juice. So I think my breakfast is good it is around 250 cals but I need to think of clever light lunches besides salads and dinners. All ideas have to be vegetarian.

Thanks you guys rock

Peace love surf,

A new totally awesome all girl surfboard and clothing shop!!

Being a surfer girl I am always looking for the latest and greatest new thing when it comes to surfing. So when I run into something I love I can't help but write about it. So here is the link below if you are a surfer girl go check it out!!!
http://www.chicksticksbylola.com/collections/surf-boards
The reason for me being so excited, if you are not familiar with the surfer world it is still in a way few ways a male predominant sport. So us girls are finally stepping it up and saying we are just as good if not better than the boys. We have girls like Malia Manuel who still being quite young is taking surfing to a whole new level. Or girls like Holly Beck and Lisa Anderson who are just a couple of the girls who paved the way for competitive women's surfing. We have Beth Hamilton who brings the heart and grace to the surfer world and inspires all of us to thrive to do are best. Not letting anything get in her way. We are getting more and more amazing women that truly inspire us. Each and every year I can't be more stoked about our ladies out there.
So I am so stoked to be able to buy a women's specific surf board, shaped and made for my body type. I've seen long boards out there but never women short boards. These boards aren't just cute but they are top quality material so you can really shred. I just got the Vixen and I couldn't be happier with it. If you cannot tell by this little blog I am in love. Also if you have Facebook go like and check out her facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/ChickSticks

Peace love surf,

Autumn
